2 NFL Sleeper teams to make playoffs in 2020

Every year we put out our NFL power rankings and think we know what team's are the best. Then every year a few teams surprise us and make a run. Last year it was the Tennessee Titans and San Fransisco 49ers. 2018 it was the Chicago Bears. 2017 it was the Jacksonville Jaguars. I could go on but you get the point. This year I decided to look at each team and figure out which of them had the best chance to make a run at the playoffs. I see a'lot of people pushing the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals and though they might make it. I'm not riding the press wave. I'm here to give you the team's people are so slept on you'd think they are dead.

My NFC sleeper team is the Atlanta Falcons! THATS RIGHT! Same division as the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I can already hear you people bitching through the screen so before you get uptight listen up!

This team was a solid franchise until the whole 28-3 debacle. They made the playoffs the year after but it was never the same for them. Atlanta went 7-9 the last two seasons but what happened at the end of last year showed me something. They started 1-7 and had so many injuries defensively it was comical. But after all that losing they finished out the season with a 6-2 record. They needed to get some swagger back to this franchise and I believe signing Todd Gurley does the trick. Gurley when healthy is a top 5 RB in the league. Matt Ryan with a running game makes the falcons offense scary. If he can implement some play action passing back into this offense.... It's going to EXPLODE! Julio Jones is a top 5 WR in the league. Calvin Ridley is as solid a #2 WR as you can get. They acquired TE Hayden Hurst to replace Hooper and I think that will work well for them. Keep in mind after all these acquisitions the falcons offense has 10 players who were once first-round draft picks. That's no joke people. The defense should be much improved also. Everyone's showing up healthy. They added Dante Fowler jr who's coming off a massively productive season and is an absolute beast off the edge. They drafted CB A.J. Terrell 18th overall who should be an instant productive starter this year for them. Also DT Marlon Davidson at #47 who should be able to make noise next to Fowler. I just think with so much pressure on the other team's of the NFC South this year the falcons can play their game, go 10-6 and make the playoffs. You for sure heard it here first!

My AFC team should be the Cincinnati Bengals and while I will be rooting for them I'm not going to let my emotions get involved in this pick. The team I see people sleeping on in the AFC actually plays the Bengals week 1. The San Diego... I mean Los Angeles Chargers!

This team had a'lot of hype when Brady was rumored to be going there. Since then I haven't heard a damn thing about this team. The main reason people dismiss them is because they named Tyrod Taylor as their starting QB. What people need to realize is regardless of what QB is playing LOOK AT THAT DEFENSE!! I watched the Steelers trot out a rotation of gutless bums at QB last year and go 8-8 because the defense caught fire. This chargers defense is better than them. They have playmakers all over the place. They acquired Chris Harris Jr to go along with Casey Heyward, Desmond King, Derwin James, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. There's so much talent on this defense I could go on forever about it but that's just one side of the ball. The offense has plenty to be excited about too. They Franchise tagged TE Hunter Henry a reliable receiving weapon that can block. They improved the offensive line with guys like Bryan Bulaga and Trai Turner. Not to mention they have an epic set of WR's. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are a headache for any defensive coordinator. They also signed Austin Ekeler to a 4-year deal. He's a RB that can catch as well as he can run. With so many weapons at his disposal even if Tyrod plays to start the season I still see the chargers winning some games. If Justin Herbert ends up being decent or half hat they expect the ceiling goes much higher. All in all I have the Chargers at 9-7 but wouldn't be surprised if a couple things went their way and they ended up in the playoffs.

So there you have it. My two sleeper teams.

AFC - Los Angeles Chargers

NFC - Atlanta Falcons

I will also end by saying the Cincinnati Bengals should make some noise this year. I'm already regretting not picking them lol Tell me if you agree and if you don't who's your sleeper teams?
